Ph.D. Alumnus Awarded ACLS Fellowship

Asian Literature, Religion, & Culture Ph.D. alumnus, Dexter Thomas, received a ACLS (American Council of Learned Societies) Emerging Voices Fellowship as a Humanities Council Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University.

Dexter received his Ph.D. from Cornell in 2020, the title of his dissertation is: "Niggers and Japs: Right-wing hip-hop and the black model minority in Japan." For more information, see the Cornell Chronicle article.
