Yu Yu Khaing

Overview

Yu Yu Khaing received her BA in English Language and Literature from Dagon University. She was trained as a foreign language teacher and has a Diploma in English Language Teaching Methodology from Yangon Institute of Education. She also studied Chinese at the University of Foreign Languages in Yangon.

Prior to joining Cornell in 2015, Ms. Khaing taught Burmese at Win Language Academy in Yangon as well as intensive courses in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She also teaches Burmese in the annual Bamazaga program with John Okell and Justin Watkins in Yangon, catering to professionals and graduate students from around the globe.

Ms. Khaing has developed a variety of teaching materials for Burmese, including mutimedia courses used by her students at Cornell and elsewhere. She is collaborating with John Okell on an intermediate-level series and continues to expand her offerings on the Web Audio Lab platform.
